How do I delete multiple conversations at once in messages?

The best method that I have found is listed below. It doesnt delte them all at once but it makes it easy to rapidly go through them. Press Option + Command at the same time while tapping the delete button... this is much faster than one at a time by clicking x... I went through a year of conversations in about a minute. I hope this helps others frustrated with no bulk delete capability for conversations.

There is no Modifier key in this instance to be able to select multiple chats/Conversations in the list.

this is a very annoying lack of a simple feature, can't understand why Apple is ignoring this

On the other hand some people use theirs for business and losing several threads with an accidental swipe could be disastrous.

So could a child clicking away at a screen.

Just because Apple have not changed anything since you might have used http://www.apple.com/feedback/messages.html does not mean they have ignored it.

This process is slow to make changes and you never hear anything back either.
